Ruth comes from a village in the North of Uganda called Oyam, where she lives with her parents, two brothers and one sister.
One evening Ruth’s auntie took her to visit her grandmother, and on the way back they took a motorcycle ‘taxi’ which collided with another motorcycle. Everyone survived, but Ruth was the most injured because she was seated in front of the driver, and was thrown forwards onto her head which was cut badly. Ruth was rushed to Abeya hospital, where Dr Anna (a paediatrician from CoRSU hospital) found her in poor condition. She brought Ruth to CoRSU where she has been skin grafted, and is recovering well.
Ruth is being taken care of by her auntie, and they are extremely grateful for the assistance of Interface, as without this assistance they could not have travelled to CoRSU to receive this treatment.
