There are now 7 plastic and reconstructive surgery trainees at CoRSU hospital! When Andrew and Sarah Hodges first went to Uganda in in the 1990’s, there were no plastic and reconstructive surgeons at all in Uganda. Andrew came back to Exeter, UK to train in plastic surgery, and Interface Uganda was started. Andrew and Sarah went back to live in Kampala in 2004, and since then, he has formed a training programme at CoRSU – there are now 3 fully trained Ugandan surgeons, and 7 more on the training programme – Linda in her third year,
Naomi and Cornelius in their second year,
and Richard, Joseph, Obady and Irene in their first year.
