A great evening of sporting fun and entertainment was had at Exeter University sports facilities on 26th February, thanks to Dominic Hazell, physio at the RD&E, who organised the whole event. Teams mainly from the RD&E physiotherapy department played a netball tournament and raised lots of money (around £200 so far counted) for Interface Uganda. Despite not knowing any netball rules and blatantly ignoring most of them anyway, the boys physio team won, much to the girls dismay! It was a very mixed ability, and mixed aged affair, with an amazing quantity of competitiveness and enthusiasm. Jackie Fowler gave a quick overview of the charity to the teams to promote Interface’s cause. Karen Devaraj (administrator) supported and cheered, whilst Helen Anderson (trustee) was a referee. Cakes were baked and donated, and also a very generous cake donation was made by Simon at Pinhoe Sainsburys, so thank you to him. Well done to all the teams for such energy and sportsmanship, and thank you to everyone who turned up both to play and to cheer everyone on!
