The main focus of the conference was emergency management of burns victims in mass disasters. Attendees were encouraged to consider setting up emergency response teams for burns victims in their respective countries. Conference activities included presentations from keynote speakers and oral abstracts, panel discussions and breakout sessions by different groups. I had the opportunity of orally presenting my abstract on burns infection prevention and control practices that showcased the practices at a central Indian Hospital in
India.
