Jackie and Tim Fowler have cycled the Vatternrundan – along with 22,448 other riders – it’s the world’s largest cycling event!
A 300 km (186 mile) cycle ride around Lake Vattern in Sweden. We started at 9.40 pm on 17th June, cycled through the night (which consisted of only a few hours of darkness), and finished at 10.45am on 18th (13 hours later)!
It was a brilliant, and very well organised event, with loads of great food stops, consisting mainly of guerkins!! It was also really great fun cycling with large pelatons (long lines of cyclists very close together). Quite tiring though! We have raised around £1,000 for Interface Uganda.
