A 300km bike ride for Interface Uganda

24th July, 2018

Jackie and Tim Fowler cycled the ‘Vatternrundan’ (the largest recreational bike ride in the world) to raise funds for us.  They joined 20,000 people to ride the 300km (186 miles) around Lake Vattern in Sweden.  It took them 13 hours (10.5 hours actual cycling time), and they rode through the night (not much darkness in June in Sweden)!

They have raised almost £300 for Interface – THANK YOU JACKIE AND TIM!

Thank you Sue Moger for your latest fundraising

10th December, 2017
Sue Moger has once again been raising funds for us – this time with tea and cakes at the Russell Clinic.  Thanks also to all the OT staff and residents there – they made £57.55.  Sue writes… ‘I do a fundraiser once a year as its good for our residents to think of others less fortunate than themselves… it supports the ‘5 ways to mental well- being’ approach, which we use a lot in our service.. 1) mindful 2) to give 3) stay active 4) learn [...]

Another shipment of bottles for Uganda

Jane Sibley (cleft nurse specialist at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford has been busy again!  She writes: At last I have packed up the parcel and it’s ready to send to Bertha at CorSU tomorrow. The box contains 100 bottles, 224 teats and 60 weaning spoons. The weaning spoons are useful to them as the surgeons like the babies to use spoons after surgery for a few weeks. The parcel is very timely as I had a phonemail from Bertha [...]
