Visiting surgeons to Uganda are generally BAPRAS members.   BAPRAS overseas committee  are very supportive of the work undertaken by Interface.

Rebecca Devaraj and Andrea Ormsby

Rebecca Devaraj spent 2 weeks with a team from Interface Uganda and 2 weeks at Kagando hospital in the Western Ugandan mountains.  With help from Andrea Ormsby (a Video Journalist for BBC Spotlight), they have produced a DVD showing the work of Interface Uganda.  If you would like a copy of our DVD, please contact us.  Rebecca is also a great help with the charity at our information evenings, and in helping produce our charity note cards, which depict scenes from Uganda.

Vikram Devaraj

Consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Vikram Devaraj has visited Uganda on several occasions, using his time there to provide training programmes for Ugandan hospital staff, as well as performing surgery and changing the lives of many Ugandan people.  He also regularly fundraises for the charity by giving talks and presentations to various groups, and participating in sporting events.

Diamedica

Midlands Anaesthetic Society

A large donation given to Interface Uganda to be spent specifically on anaesthetic needs in Uganda.  This is now being used to train an anaesthetic officer from Kumi hospital in the East to upgrade his paediatric anaesthetic skills.  It will pay for his accommodation and give him a stipend while in Kampala for 1-2 months.  Any money left over will be used to upgrade another anaesthetic officer.  Thank you.

The Parish church of St Margaret, Wolston, Coventry

The Parish church of St Margaret regularly donate on a monthly basis to Interface Uganda.  This is the church attended by Andrew Hodges' mum.
